Minutes of the August 2004 Supervisors' Meeting

The Silver Lake Township Supervisors held their regular monthly meeting on Monday August 2, 2004 at the Silver Lake Township building. Terrence Dugan called the meeting to order at 7:30 pm and everyone saluted the Flag.

The minutes of the July meeting were read and approved. The Treasurer’s report was read, approved and held for audit on motion made by Tom Swan and seconded by Terry Dugan., approved.

Public Comment: A resident asked if there was any update on the Silver Lake (body of water) sewage project. Terry Dugan explained that it is a work in progress. Each possible resolution to the problem is being carefully considered but there is not a final resolution as yet. DEP must approve any revisions that are made to the 537 Plan before it can be officially adopted. A walk around on Silver Lake was done with representatives from COG, DEP, Township Supervisors, as well as residents from the Silver Lake Association.

Terry Dugan made a motion to table Ordinance No. 35 (Assessment Permits) for one more month for the Township Solicitor to review the changes made to the definitions, Tom Swan seconded, approved.

Tom Swan gave the road report. Rainfall continues to be a problem. There are several roads that still have not been graded due to weather problems.

Chief Michael Hornak gave the police report with 33 incidents.

Tom Swan made a motion to pay the bills as submitted, Terry Dugan seconded, approved.

As no further business was presented, Terry Dugan made a motion to adjourn the meeting, Tom Swan seconded, approved.
