Minutes of the October 2004 Supervisors' Meeting
The Silver Lake Township Supervisors held their regular
monthly meeting on Monday, October 4, 2004 at the Silver Lake Township
Building. Terrence Dugan called the meeting to order at 7:30 PM and
everyone saluted the Flag.
The minutes of the September meeting were read
and approved. The Treasurer’s
report was read, approved and held for audit on a motion made by Tom
Swan and seconded by Terry Dugan.
Public Comment: A resident asked the price on the new truck that has
been ordered. Tom Swan stated the piggyback price was approximately
$112,000. It was asked if there was any update on cell towers. I.W.A.
has been putting some pressure on various companies to make a commitment.
If there are no firm commitments by the beginning of the year, I.W.A.
is asking the Supervisors to get in contact with State Representatives
for help.
Terry Dugan explained that Silver Lake Township declared a state of
emergency with the September 17, 2004 storm. FEMA is asking for a resolution
to designate one Supervisor as the main contact. Terry Dugan made a
motion to appoint Tom Swan as the primary contact and Sandy Payne seconded,
approved.

a variety of road safety and road closed signs and they have been stolen
already.
