Minutes of the April 2005 Supervisors' MeetingThe Silver Lake Township Supervisors held their regular monthly meeting on Monday, April 4, 2005 at the Silver Lake Township building. Terrence Dugan called the meeting to order at 7:30 pm and everyone saluted the Flag. Tom Swan made a motion to accept the minutes as read, Terry Dugan seconded, approved. The Treasurer’s report was read, approved and held for audit on a motion made by Tom Swan and seconded by Terry Dugan, approved. Public Comment: A resident asked if the Township sustained any road damage from the heavy rains over the weekend. Tom Swan said that there are several roads that have suffered from the storm. Mr. Demaree has contacted PennDOT and suggested that they drive the road from SR 4002 from Murphy’s Corners to Choconut. A resident asked what the status of East Wilkes Barre Turnpike. Tom Swan said that Milnes Engineering are finishing up their survey of the road and then the project will go out for bidding. Terry Dugan read an ordinance from COG requiring sewage permits being issued before a building permit is issued. Terry made a motion approving COG to advertise this ordinance, Tom Swan seconded, approved. Chief Michael Hornak gave the police report. There were 25 total incidents for the month of March. Tom Swan gave the road report. He hopes the roads will dry out quickly so the road crew can begin grading out some of the potholes. No building permits were issued during the month of March. Tom Swan made a motion to pay the bills as submitted, Terry Dugan seconded,
approved. As no further business was presented, Terry Dugan made a motion
to adjourn the meeting.
