Minutes of the November 2005 Supervisors' Meeting

The Silver Lake Township Supervisors held their regular monthly meeting on Monday, November 7, 2005 at the Silver Lake Township Building. Terrence Dugan called the meeting to order at 7:30 pm and everyone saluted the Flag.

Public Comment: It was suggested that the Police Department be taken out of the General Fund Budget and create a line item on the tax bills so that any tax money or fines received would go directly to the Police Department budget. Terry Dugan said this was something that is currently being looked at. It was asked if McCormick Road would be graded. Tom Swan said he would look into it. A resident that lives on East Wilkes-Barre Turnpike received a notice from the post office stating that due to the road construction certain mailboxes needed to be relocated. Tom will call the post office and see what needs to be done.

Terry Dugan explained that the information from LTAP has been received for the traffic study. If the weather cooperates the study will be taken care of in November.
