The Silver Lake Township Supervisors held their regular monthly meeting on Monday, July 3, 2006 at the Silver Lake Township Building.   Terry Dugan called the meeting to order at 7:30 pm and everyone saluted the Flag.

Tom Swan made a motion to accept the minutes as read Terry Dugan seconded, approved.  The Treasurer’s report was read, approved and held for audit on a motion made by Terry Dugan and seconded by Tom Swan.

Public Comment.

Terry Dugan read a resolution regarding a Triathlon to be held at Salt Spring State Park on September 3, 2006.  There is a small section of road in Silver Lake Township that the biking portion of the triathlon will take place on.  Terry Dugan made a motion to approve the resolution as read, Tom Swan seconded approved.

No police report was available.

Tom Swan gave the road report.  The township suffered some damage during the storms and they are working on repairing the damaged roads.

The Silver Lake Volunteer Fire Company has requested a fireworks permit for the annual field days.  Terry Dugan made a motion to approve the permit, Tom Swan seconded, approved.

Terry Dugan read a resolution to rename East Wilkes-Barre Turnpike to John C. McNamara Drive, Tom Swan seconded, approved.

No Assessment permits were issued during the month of June.

Sandy Payne made a motion to pay the bills as submitted, Terry Dugan seconded, approved.  As no further business was presented, Terry Dugan made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
