The Silver Lake Township Supervisors held their regular monthly meeting on Monday, August 7, 2006 at the Silver Lake Township Building.  Terry Dugan called the meeting to order and everyone saluted the Flag.

Tom Swan made a motion to accept the minutes as read, Terry Dugan seconded, approved.  The Treasurer’s report was read, approved and held for audit on a motion made by Terry Dugan and seconded, by Tom Swan.

Public Comment:  It was asked what the status was on the flooded truck. Tom explained the insurance company has totaled it.  The truck has been towed to Bradco Supply to have the box removed which can be used on another truck. 

Chief Michael Hornak gave the police report.  There were 48 reportable incidents for the month of July. 

Tom Swan gave the road report.  A dozer was rented to help clear debris caused by storm damage.

Two Assessment Permits were issued for the month of July.

On August 18 there will be a ceremony dedicating the township building to the memory of Hubert Murphy and also the ribbon cutting for East Wilkes-Barre Turnpike was has been renamed John C. McNamara Drive.

Tom Swan made a motion to pay the bills as submitted, Terry Dugan seconded, approved.  As no further business was presented, Terry Dugan made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
