Minutes of the April 2007 Supervisors' Meeting

The Silver Lake Township Supervisors held their regular monthly meeting on Monday, April 2, 2007 at the Silver Lake Township Building. Terrence Dugan called the meeting to order at 7:30 pm and everyone saluted the Flag.

Tom Swan made a motion to accept the minutes as read, Terry Dugan seconded, approved. The Treasurer’s report was read, approved and held for audit on a motion made by Tom Swan and seconded by Terry Dugan.

Public Comment: Ray Telnock introduced himself as a candidate for Susquehanna County Commissioner. A resident asked about the building purchase status. Terry explained a meeting has been set up for Thursday, April 5 to hopefully begin the process.

The COG Sewage Maintenance Agreement Ordinance was advertised. The Ordinance updates the maintenance agreement already in effect. Tom Swan made a motion to pass the ordinance as advertised, Terry Dugan seconded, approved.

Terry Dugan read a Resolution for a PennDot Agility Agreement. This Agreement does not spell out the work to be exchanged but is a guideline of the general terms. This agreement is good for five years. Tom Swan made a motion to pass the resolution, Terry Dugan seconded, approved.

Chief Michael Hornak read the police report with 26 reportable incidents.

Tom Swan gave the road report. As soon as road get dry, they will start to work them. Right now the ground is too soft for the heavy equipment. Tree trimming is being done on several roads.

No assessment permits issued during the month of March.

Sandy Payne made a motion to pay the bills as submitted, Terry Dugan seconded, approved. As no further business was presented, Terry Dugan made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
