Minutes of the May 2007 Supervisors' Meeting

The Silver Lake Township Supervisors held their regular monthly meeting on Monday, May7, 2007 at the Silver Lake Township Building.  Tom Swan called the meeting to order at 7:30 pm and everyone saluted the Flag.

Tom Swan made a motion to accept the minutes as read, Sandy Payne seconded, approved.  The Treasurer’s report was read, approved and held for audit on a motion made by Tom Swan and seconded by Sandy Payne.

Public Comment:  A question was asked regarding the 911 readdressing.  Sergeant Burgh said the information has been submitted to the post office.  It was asked how the meeting on the building purchased went.  Tom said the initial meeting went well and the township is within its debt limits to go ahead with the purchase.  Tim Smith and Tom Bolles were to meeting with their accountant.  A resident asked about speed limit signs on Lake Front.  Tom Swan will check with PennDOT.

Tom Swan went through the area with a representative from NEP for the installation of cell towers.  There will be four zones and they are planning on one cell tower installation per year in each zone.

Sergeant Tim Burgh gave the police report with 19 reportable incidents during the month of April.

Tom Swan gave the road report.  Road crew has started grading the roads.  Material will be added later.

Two Assessment Permits were issued during the month of April.

Tom Swan made a motion to pay the bills as submitted, Sandy Payne seconded, approved.  As no further business was presented, Tom Swan made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
