Minutes of the August 2007 Supervisors' Meeting

The Silver Lake Township Supervisors held their regular monthly meeting on Monday, August 6, 2007 at the Silver Lake Township Building.  Tom Swan called the meeting to order at 7:30 pm and everyone saluted the Flag.

Tom Swan made a motion to accept the minutes as read by Terry Dugan.  The Treasurer’s report was read and held for audit on a motion made by Tom Swan and seconded by Terry Dugan.

Public Comment:
Chief Michael Hornak gave the police report with 52 reportable incidents for the month of July.  Sandy Chambers pointed out that the Rose Conservancy would be holding it Barn Tour Event and there would be a lot of cars parked along the roads.

Tom Swan gave the road report.  A Dozer will be rented for 3 weeks to do some work that can’t be accomplished with the grader.  Roads are almost done and then the equipment will begin to be readied for winter maintenance.  Tom has not heard from PennDOT as to when they will finish putting up the speed limit signs or painting the lines on John C McNamara Drive.

One bid was received for the sale of the 2000 flail mower.  Terry Dugan opened the Bradco bid.  The bid was $5,500.  The new mower was approximately $20,000.

No assessment permits were issued in July.

Tom Swan made a motion to pay the bills as submitted, Terry Dugan seconded, approved.  As no further business was presented, Tom Swan made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
