Minutes of the November 2007 Supervisors' MeetingThe Silver Lake Township Supervisors held their regular monthly meeting on Monday, November 5, 2007 at the Silver Lake Township Building. Tom Swan called the meeting to order at 7:30 pm and everyone saluted the Flag. Tom Swan made a motion to accept the minutes as read, Sandy Payne seconded, approved. The Treasurer’s report was read and held for audit on a motion made by Tom Swan and seconded by Sandy Payne. Public Comment: Justin Demaree thanked the Supervisors for an excellent job everyone has done. The Police Department needs to be commended for everything they do throughout the township in working with not only with the Fire Department but in helping residents. Other residents voiced similar comments in support of the Police Department. It was asked what the status is on the purchase of the building. An offer has been submitted to B & S and we are waiting to hear back from them. The NEP cell tower is up and will be turned on shortly. Ordinance No. 45 updating the Transfer Tax Ordinance was advertised after the October meeting. Tom Swan made a motion to sign the ordinance into effect, Sandy Payne seconded, approved. Tom Swan read a resolution for an Intermunicipal Agreement regarding the Northern Tier Coalition. This resolution is necessary for the zoning grant. Tom Swan made a motion to approve the resolution, Sandy Payne seconded, approved. Sergeant Tim Burgh gave the police report with 33 reportable incidents for the month of October. Tom Swan gave the road report. A number of sluice pipes throughout the township will be cleaned. The trucks are just about ready for winter. Road salt will be delivered. One assessment permit was issued in October. Tom Swan made a motion to pay the bills as submitted, Sandy Payne seconded, approved. As no further business was presented, Tom Swan made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
