The Silver Lake Township Supervisors held their regular monthly meeting on Monday, January 7, 2008 at the Silver Lake Township Building.  Terry Dugan called the meeting to order at 7:30 pm and everyone saluted the Flag.

Tom Swan made a motion to accept the minutes as read, Terry Dugan seconded, approved.  The Treasurer’s report was read and held for audit on a motion made by Tom Swan and seconded by Terry Dugan.

Terry Dugan made a motion to advertise for a Joint Zoning Hearing Board with Liberty Township in the event zoning gets approved, Tom Swan seconded, approved.  The Board will consist of four members.  Silver Lake will need to provide two members plus an alternate.  This ordinance will be advertised by the community planner if or when we get to this step.
Terry Dugan made a resolution to take whatever steps are necessary for the purchase of the township building from TNT Partnership.  The purchase price is $200,000.  At the moment there is an oral contract and the township solicitor is putting together a written contract for all parties to sign, Tom Swan seconded, approved.

Fuel Bids:  Mirabito Fuel Group:  Unleaded gas – Flex price of $2.8311; on-road diesel – Flex price $3.2288; Heating oil – Flex price of $2,9527.
                  Williams Oil:  Unleaded gas – Flex price of $2,7535; on-road diesel – Flex price $2.9720; Heating oil – Flex price $2.9440
Bids will be reviewed but it looks like Williams Oil will get the whole package.

 Chief Michael Hornak gave the police report with 21 reportable incidents for the month of December.

Tom Swan gave the road report. One project that will be done this spring is widening of the hill on Kennedy Road.  A special meeting will be set up for the residents on the road to explain what will be done and to answer questions.

No assessment permits issued in December.

Tom Swan made a motion to pay the bills as submitted, Terry Dugan seconded, approved.  As no further business was presented, Tom Swan made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
