Minutes of the March 2009 Supervisors' Meeting

The Silver Lake Township Supervisors held their regular monthly meeting on Monday, March 2, 2009 at the Silver Lake Township building. Terry Dugan called the meeting to order at 7:30 pm and everyone saluted the Flag.

Terry Dugan made a motion to accept the minutes as read, Tom Swan seconded, approved.  The Treasurer report was read and held for audit on a motion made by Tom Swan and seconded by Terry Dugan.

There was no public comment.

Terry Dugan spoke regarding the Right to Know Law.  A request form is available on the website and there will now be a charge of $.25 per page will be charged for copies.  Terry explained the township records have always been open and the website has a lot of documents available for printing but now the state is requiring the Right to Know to be past by resolution.  Terry Dugan made a motion to pass the Right to Know resolution, Tom Swan seconded, approved.

Chief Michael Hornak gave the police report with 18 reportable incidents for the month of February. 

Tom Swan gave the road report.  Dirt and Gravel Road package will be put together and submitted to Soil Conservation.  Tom made a motion to advertise for road materials and various fuels.  To be bid:  #57 stone, 2A (DSA), 2RC, and #8 stone.  Fuels to be bid: on-road diesel, unleaded gasoline, heating oil and propane.

Tom Swan made a motion to advertise to sell the blue Ford, crew cab,  pick up truck, Terry Dugan seconded. 

There was no assessment permits issued in February. 

Terry Dugan made a motion to pay the bills as submitted, Tom Swan seconded, approved.  As no further business was presented Terry Dugan adjourned the meeting.
